User Personas

After getting insights from user research I had a clear understanding of who my target user will be and created personas. User personas will help me make better design decisions that will satisfy the user’s needs.

User Serveys

Hypothesis

Users just want a simple to-do list app with minimal features. The less features and less uncomplicated the better.

Survey

Users online were asked to participate in a survey to help evaluate the core MVP elements that users desired in a to-do list productivity app. The survey included initial qualifying questions to gauge age ranges and employment statuses of users. Additionally, surveyed users were asked how often they use productivity apps such as email, note taking, calendar, to-do list and reminder apps.

Summary

Backing up the intial hypothesis, the answers returned support for simple and easy to understand user interfaces.

Participants response to biggest issues with current to-do list/productivity apps indicate they have too many features and complex UI.

User Flow

Wireframes and Lean UI

Testing of the wireframes made me realise that I could cut out further unnecessary features. I removed the ability to add images and colour code to-dos. I had to make sure the app was as simple as possible to keep it lean.

Design

The font used is Poppins.
